INCLINED PLANE ADJUSTABLE W/GLASS SURFACE
- MF1961-001
The IEC 'Inclined Plane' is a simple classroom instrument to permit experiments in friction, vectors and forces. The Linear Air Track is better for accurate mechanics, but the Inclined Plane is useful for less accurate work. The plane is 100x500mm WxL 'Melamine' coated timber with a pulley mounted at the top end. It is available also with a glass surface.
The bottom end hinges to the aluminium base which is also a storage container to hold kit parts. It is fully adjustable up to 45deg. The angle scale is on the adjustment bar so that when the unit is folded and locked flat for storage, there is no scale protruding to be broken or bent.
The Inclined Plane is not normally supplied with accessories, however a brass roller, nylon scale pan and aluminium rolling cart are available from the PA section. See the PDF file.
